For God so loved the world, that through His great love, He connected the life of a Canadian couple, who do not speak Chinese, to the lives of thousands of Chinese students from overseas. This amazing grace has endured over 30 years...
Ted is a surgeon, and his wife Margaret used to be an English teacher. Since the 1980s, this devoted Christian couple have been leading Bible study groups at the MacDonald Campus of McGill University, Canada, to preach the gospel to international students from various countries. As more and more Chinese were pouring into Canada to study and immigrate, God guided them in a miraculous way, shifting the main focus of their ministry to the Chinese mainlanders. Since 1999, under the support of local Chinese churches, pastors and helpers, they started free English Bible Classes at different locations in Montreal, Canada, to help the newcomers - students, visiting scholars and immigrants - improve their English, and get to know God, the Bible, Jesus Christ, as well as the western culture and society.

In the classroom, they are teachers and mentors of the Word. In life, they are friends and family to all the students. Not only do they open their home and invite students for dinner and coffee, they also make an authentic effort to know the challenges and difficulties that the students are facing in a foreign country, pray continuously for their needs, and seek any available resources to help them. They have been devoted to this cause of love without a break for 30 years. As a result, God has been blessing them with a fruitful ministry, and students all over the world. The English Bible Class led by Ted and Margaret has reached around 3,000 Chinese immigrants, visiting scholars and international students with the good news of salvation. Among them, over 600 students have received the eternal blessing by accepting Jesus as their Saviour. What amazing grace!
